Top Shelf Design initially created and launched Walnut Street Development’s site in 2013. WSD’s main goal was to design a site with a friendly user experience, easy navigation and calls to action, with a large emphasis on their gorgeous property photos. We used a neutral color palette with hints of orange as an accent color for headlines and subject lines. The use of these color palette helps to bring emphasis to the large photo slider at the centerpiece of the homepage. The use of photography throughout the site also helps to bring in additional color and interest on each of the various pages.
We are excited to announce that we just recently launched the mobile responsive version of their site. The mobile responsive piece allows all visitors to the site who are using a mobile device to have a positive viewing experience. The navigation and photos automatically resize to display appropriately for whichever type of mobile device you are using, whether it is a tablet or phone, large, small or anywhere in between. This means that the user can view the site in their device’s internet browser, and never have to pan or zoom to view the content they are trying to see.
