This project is a component of a larger project, the Berard AIT Website Redesign. In addition, it was a large part of the inspiration for the project itself. This client delivers a highly-specialized and certified form of therapy to a vulnerable population, so ensuring that those certified practitioners are visible online is of the utmost importance. The client maintains a database of members that they use to track the training status of their members, but they wanted to use that database to further promote their practitioners internationally.
Top Shelf combined off-the-shelf plugins with custom programming to bridge that gap, mapping the fields in their database to markers on a Google Map, that then displays the practitioner data in popup when the marker is clicked. As the client updates their database, their map is updated automatically – maintaining ease of use and searchability along the way with no additional work for the client.
