When the words “healthcare industry” come up they are rarely followed by the words “simple, elegant, and professional”. Well, we aimed to change that with the Alliance for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety ‘s new website. We gave AQIPS’s site a fresh look, where light and dark colors are used to give the site hierarchy and dimension. The organization of content played an important role in the design as it is somewhat content-heavy, and the light colors keep it looking spacious. However, the real challenge was keeping the amount of images on the site to a minimum, while maintaining an interesting design—cue background texture.
